There are four ways to volunteer at PHC Buffalo 2025. We need Planning Committee Members, Welcome Table Workers, Navigators and Lunch Waitstaff.

Planning Committee Members will meet via zoom or in person frequently every month until the day of to organize, collect donations, solicit gift items and offer innovative and creative ideas on how to make PHC 2025 the best one yet! It is a large time commitment and we ask that if you sign up that you be an active and engaged member. On the day of the event, Planning Committee Members will serve as event facilitators - answering questions, solving problems, addressing issues, and making sure that all attendees and volunteers enjoy the day! We ask that Planning Committee Members be at the Buffalo Convention Center by 8am on the day of the event and plan to stay for clean up.

Welcome Table Workers will be the first volunteers our attendees will encounter. You will greet them with a smile and tell them we are glad they came to PHC! Welcome Table Workers will complete a short demographic form with each attendee, provide them with a lunch ticket and introduce them to their Navigator. Then you will welcome the next attendee and do it all over again. We ask that our Welcome Table Workers be extremely friendly and devote the appropriate time to each attendee but also be able to keep the line moving so that everyone gets into the event without a long wait. We ask that Welcome Table Workers arrive at the Buffalo Convention Center by 9:30am on the day of the event and stay until the last attendee has been welcomed in.

Navigators will be paired with an attendee to assist them on the event floor. Navigators will remain with the attendee throughout the event or until the attendee no longer wants your services. We ask that you bring a servant’s heart, a lot of patience and treat each attendee with dignity and respect. We ask that Navigators arrive at the Buffalo Convention Center by 9:30am on the day of the event and stay until at the last attendee has been assisted.

Lunch Waitstaff will serve our attendees lunch, clean up their tables, check in with them regularly to see if they need anything else. We want our attendees to enjoy a nice sit down meal and we ask that you cater to them so that they can enjoy the day created just for them! We ask that Lunch Waitstaff arrive at the Buffalo Convention Center by 10:30am on the day of the event and plan to stay until the last attendee is served.

PHC Committee Staff will host two training events via zoom so that we can answer any questions you may have. Dates TBA.

All individual volunteers will receive a PHC T-shirt and be provided free lunch.

Registration for individual volunteers will close on Monday, September 15 at 4pm.
